Living compositions

Jennica sees gardens as living compositions.

Jennica sees gardens as living compositions: layers of foliage, bloom, structure, movement, and mood. Whether the space is an overgrown bed, a shady corner, a blank yard, or a front entry that needs presence, her work begins with what the site is already trying to become.

Plant success first

“I’m not going to set a plant up for failure.”

Light, soil, drainage, roots, watering, mature size, and long-term care are design materials. “Do it right or not at all” means protecting your investment from unsuitable plants and rushed preparation—not withholding communication. Jennica explains the why, teaches as she designs, and will decline a shortcut that cannot give the garden a responsible chance to grow.

Seen through Jennica's eye

Where others see an awkward corner, Jennica sees a woodland edge.

Where others see tired beds, she sees rhythm, contrast, and seasonal movement.

Where others see shade, she sees foliage, texture, and quiet drama.

Seasonal composition

A garden should keep offering something back.

Jennica thinks about the movement from first growth to late-season structure: foliage before bloom, flowers with rhythm, and winter bones that still hold the space.
